Question
The acquisition of M Booth has added to the Consumer PR capabilities of the Next Fifteen Group, but in what ways will this benefit Lexis?
Answer
So the benefit of the acquisition of M Booth & Associates for Lexis we see are threefold. Firstly, it’s obviously clients, and the opportunity to grow clients on both sides of the Atlantic. So we’ve already started introducing ourselves to each other’s client databases. We’re doing for the first time work in New York via M Booth & Associates from a Lexis perspective, and our big ambition is to actually have shared clients doing work on both sides of the Atlantic. The second opportunity is for us to actually share best practice, and again that’s something we’re already doing. So we’re looking at how each other develops products, services, initiatives, come up with ideas. And we both already found that each other are doing things that we want to learn from and implement. And we believe that bringing the two businesses together in that way, we’re both going to have a stronger offer than we had separately. And finally, but very importantly is the staff opportunity. Both sets of staff are incredibly excited at the opportunity to really be part of something that’s bigger than they were before, both for the career opportunities and the learning opportunities that that brings. We’ve implemented a secondment programme, and that’s already starting in November with our first person going over. And that’s not only tremendously motivating for her, but also, we’re going to learn from them, and she’s going to bring best practice back to us, and different ways of doing PR as well. So all in all it’s a fantastic opportunity for Lexis and for M Booth and Associates, and together we’re really, really excited about it.
