Question

Next Fifteen’s technology clients have been early adopters of social media services. What demand for these services have M Booth seen?

Answer

M Booth has seen great demand for social media services among its clients. Really very quite natural, because PR is ideally suited to spur talk ability and engagement. Our clients really fall into 3 different categories. The first are clients that are cautiously wading into the space. CMOs, CFOs, CEOs, are actually asking us how to Tweet, they’re asking us to put up Facebook pages for them. And we’re helping them actually get comfortable in the space. The second category are clients in which we’re engaged in big campaigns online. Engagement campaigns where we’re creating communities of moms, whiskey drinkers, women entrepreneurs, and even teenage girls, to help spur product demand and services. The third arena is where we are actually creating new streams of revenue. We’re using Twitter a lot for this and we can actually see click throughs to purchase. This is very exciting for our clients, because it’s income, new income that they really didn’t expect. We won two social media awards for our work in this arena. So I think that social media is really going to become a major piece of work for us in the New Year. It’s going to grow exponentially, it’s important work, it’s significant work, and it’s work that we’re ideally suited to do.
